Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer showed off a new touch-screen, tablet-style computer from Hewlett-Packard Co., the first of several such devices expected to be unveiled this month.
The tablet — also known as a slate, a one-piece portable computer without a physical keyboard — was one of several new PCs Ballmer demonstrated Wednesday as he delivered Microsoft Corp.’s customary keynote presentation on the eve of the International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas:

If you type in Michelle Obama in Google search and click images, the first image you might see is Michelle depicted as a monkey. Google bought an ad directly over the photo to explain it is not responsible for the image:

We assure you that the views expressed by such sites are not in any way endorsed by Google. [...] We apologize if you’ve had an upsetting experience using Google. I actually agree with Google on this one; they cannot be held responsible for lames who refused to find something more constructive to do with their time.
It won’t be released until 2010, and some say the price can be upwards of $2,000; In addition the screen is a 10.6-inch LCD display. Some will have a OLED screen would use less energy, have less glare, and be able to deliver a brighter, crisper image compared to LCD. No keyboards, no hassle. Check it out:

Hold this issue in front of a webcam, and the magazine comes to life. Letters begin flying towards you in the computer screen and the animation from the cover is also moving along with it– Just another creative way the publication world is trying to reinvent themselves in the new internet age.

An upcoming issue of Entertainment Weekly’s print edition will be embedded with a video player that will run ads for CBS shows and Pepsi.
The ad comes in a heavy-paper package resembling the kind of novelty greeting cards that make noises. A roughly two-inch screen starts playing automatically as the page flips open. A speaker is embedded below it.
CBS Corp. and Time Warner Inc.’s Entertainment Weekly billed the video advertisement as the first ever to appear in a print magazine. CBS says the video player insert, made by a Los Angeles company called Americhip Inc., will be able to withstand the binding processes and mail delivery.
I might pick up the issue just for this ad.
