So Rachel Maddow takes Rep. Aaron Schock to task for his hypocrisy on the spending bill in Washington. What you have is a classic bit of television that you rarely see– A classy exchange where the facts are laid out on the table.
“You, in your district, I just read that you were at a community college touting a $350,000 green technology education program, talking about how great that was going to be for your district,” she said. “You voted against the bill that created that grant. That’s happening a lot with Republicans sort of taking credit for things that Democratic bills do and then Republicans simultaneously touting their votes against them and trashing them. That, I think, is a problem that needs to be resolved within your caucus. Because you seem like a very nice person but that is a very hypocritical stance to take.”
Rachel Maddow is the only journalist out there who is bright enough to hold interviewee’s accountable. She obviously does her homework, is well prepared, and not much gets by her. There is a reason most Republicans by pass her invitations since the scent of hypocrisy precedes them. Rachel’s acumen and performance is one of the best in the business
So Obama sat down with Diane Sawyer to talk about his first year in office:
“I’d rather be a really good one-term president than a mediocre two-term president,” Obama told Sawyer.
“There’s a tendency in Washington to think that our job description, of elected officials, is to get reelected. That’s not our job description,” Obama said. “Our job description is to solve problems and to help people.”
All I can say; If President Obama does not focus on the economy, he will be a one term President…
Barbara Walters selected Michelle Obama as her most fascinating person of the year. The list also included Glenn Beck, Lady Gaga, Brett Favre, Michael Jackson’s children, Adam Lambert, Kate Gosselin, Tyler Perry, Jenny Sanford (The South Carolina’s Governor’s Wife) and Sarah Palin.
Watching this video, I really don’t know whether to laugh or to cry; The dude in the steelers jacket just takes the cake. I really want to roast, but then I think, wait, these people can still vote?!@#$#
First lady Michelle Obama awaits the arrival of the Indian Prime Minister in the North Portico of the White House November 24, 2009 in Washington, DC. If you type in Michelle Obama in Google search and click images, the first image you might see is Michelle depicted as a monkey. Google bought an ad directly over the photo to explain it is not responsible for the image:
