Dude was busted with earphones and an ipod charger in his cell. The rapper is currently serving one year for a gun violation, and these items are not allowed at Rikers Island. The only thing authorities were unable to find was the actual ipod itself. I hope they give him a cavity search– Around 90% of all contraband gets into jail by someone stuffing their behind, literally. Keep your head up Wayne.

Initial reports suggested city officials would force Lil Wayne into protective custody out of concern for the rapper’s safety and health following his dental surgery. However, Correction Department spokesman Stephen Morello tells the New York Daily News the Grammy winner will have “general population escort” status at Rikers Island.
Morello also claims the agency never received a request from Lil Wayne to be treated differently from other inmates, adding, “It’s his choice.”
The rapper could be out in eight months pending good behavior.

Rapper Lil Wayne was detained in Texas as a result of being found with stashes of marijuana on multiple tour buses. The seizure came as a result of US border patrol performing ‘random searches’ resulting in the K-9 units sniffing out the scent on the first bus. Officials have detained Lil Wayne and 11 other members of his entourage in Border Patrol units, while no official arrests have been made, we’re sure they are pending..

Into prison that is; as of Feb of 2010, he is expected to serve 8 months in a federal prison stemming from a two year old drug case. That is not the end of his legal problems however, he is also looking at charges of drug possession from an Arizona court. Uteruses around the globe rejoice!!!!
