In the September issue of Vanity Fair, Jennifer Lopez admits that when it comes to love, she’s a glutton for punishment — or, in her words, an “eternal optimist.” She will say that she’s learned to walk away from something “when it isn’t right,” which is what happened when she and husband/collaborator Marc Anthony announced their divorce last month. The whole “walking away from something when it isn’t right” is a lesson she learned the hard way in 2003 following the release of Gigli.

Us weekly is reporting that J.Lo’s mom reached out to Ben Affleck: Here’s the story via rumorville: Lopez’s mom reached out to Affleck on June 25th via email, seeking advice for her daughter. A source told People: “She always liked and trusted him. [Ben] replied back on email, wished her well and offered what he could.”
If this is true, J.lo’s mother is out of line. This is J.lo’s third divorce, she knows the deal…

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony Split
The third trip down the aisle wasn’t the charm for Jennifer Lopez after all: She and Marc Anthony have decided to go their separate ways after a 7-year marriage.
“We have decided to end our marriage,” they said in a joint statement (via People.com). “This was a very difficult decision. We have come to an amicable conclusion on all matters.”
“It is a painful time for all involved,” they added, “and we appreciate the respect of our privacy at this time.”

Jennifer Lopez- American Idol Finale
Jennifer Lopez summed up her first season as an American Idol Judge:
“I thought it was really great,” says J.Lo. “I’m really proud of the season. I think we found some great talent. I think we had some fun moments and some good entertainment it was really working with all the judges and the contestants.”
What did she like most about Steven and Randy:
“I didn’t know what to expect when I first met Steven, if he was some kind of rock and roller guy,” Jennifer says. “He turned out to be a deep, soulful person I guess than I had imagined, I didn’t know what to expect.” I’ve been watching him on TV for 10 years now and what you see is what you get and it’s not an act,” says the singer/actress. “You think maybe he just puts on all this stuff — but no, that’s him 24-7 and that makes it even better.”
Finally:
When I sat at home I was watching at home, I was back-seat judging agreeing and not agreeing and then when I got there I didn’t know what it would be like, it was a surreal experience after watching at home for so long.”
