On what she’s taken from Michael’s death:
“When you hear people say life goes on, it’s really the truth. You can’t stop living. It becomes a part of you. I feel a bit selfish because there are times I feel I shouldn’t be doing this, but I enjoy my work and I have to keep doing it. I have to keep my life going. There are days that are harder than others.”
On her New Year’s resolutions:
“I want to learn a language. I haven’t decided which, but it’s between French, Spanish and Italian. I also want to get closer to God.”
On her new album:
“It’s going to be a little different. The writing is about life experiences. There’s a part of me that’s craving escapism, which is a sense of wanting to keep on moving with my work but also of coming to terms with reality. So I think it will be upbeat and light.”
On her new book:
“I hope it’s inspiring for all ages. I’m talking about weight loss, confidence, self-esteem—especially in your youth. It’s not an autobiography, but there are little anecdotes that I give here and there from my childhood all the way to the present that I thought would be interesting and helpful to share.”
On what she loves about New York:
“Everything. I love the energy–the creative energy. I’ve been here for 12 years and I will be here for the rest of my life.”
Janet Jackson performs onstage at the 2009 American Music Awards at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on November 22, 2009. She preformed a tribute to her brother singing the 1986 chart topper “Control,” followed by “Miss You Much,” a popular tune from 1989. See more this way:
Janet Jackson looks on during a Tribute Dance (In Michael’s honor) at The Grove on November 14, 2009 in LA. In other news, Janet says she blames the doctor for MJ’s untimely death:
Pop star Janet Jackson holds Michael Jackson’s personal doctor responsible for her brother’s sudden death and has told ABC News that a day does not go by when she doesn’t think about her late sibling.“He was the one that was administering,” Janet Jackson said about Houston-based physician Dr. Conrad Murray. “I think he is responsible.”
anet Jackson has remained mostly quiet about her brother’s death, but she spoke with ABC television journalist Robin Roberts in an interview set to air Wednesday night on the network’s show In the Spotlight.“It’s been a tough year,” Jackson told Roberts, in excerpts posted on ABC News’ website on Monday. “You have your days where it’s just really — it’s hard to believe. And a day doesn’t go by that I don’t think about him.”
I have went back and looked for various photos of Ms. Jackson. She is looking fabulous these days…

She looks refreshed and beautiful. I hope to post alot more on Ms. Jackson in the coming days. I wish the media would have paid attention to her tribute to her brother, but attention whores couldn’t let that happen (sigh):
An insert from the interview: “My brother is, I mean was …” She shifts on the couch and stares at the floor. “You have to forgive me, because it’s really hard to believe he’s passed. He’d have the same red shirt, the same black pants, the same white T-shirt. Mike was very simple. When I was 14 years old, I would shop for him. [Michael was then 21 and a megastar.] I washed his clothes, cleaned his room. When Mother would go out of town, she’d say, ‘I’m leaving you in charge. Take care of Mike.’ I would head home from school, see what he needed, then go straight to the stores.” She giggles a little and says, “You know something else? He loved to wear his shoes all the way down. His penny loafers would have huge holes in the bottom.”
I wish Janet the very best– Read the rest of the interview here
