“Sometimes on creative stuff, one of us will ask, ‘Do you think this is cool?’” Jay-Z, 40, says of his wife of two years, 28. “She’s a magnificent A&R, if she ever decides to do that, for things like pitch. So I defer to her on those sort of questions.” Talking about decorating the house Jay had a “noirishly lit pistol with a pair of women’s legs emerging from the handle,” getting rejected by “B,” his nickname for Beyonce. “It was more of a masculine style, I guess,” Jay-Z says. Beyonce opted for a similar piece of artwork for their 8,000-square-foot NYC penthouse, depicting a perfume bottle rather than a gun.
This hits newsstands on June 24th, should be an interesting read, although the cover profile shot is a bit much.
