This is just foul:
JERSEY CITY, N.J. (WPIX) — The mother of a stillborn baby tossed out with the trash from Christ Hospital in Jersey City last December, filed a lawsuit Monday against that institution and several of its employees, according to her lawyer, Michael Anise.
Kalynn Moore delivered her baby boy via Cesarean section just days before Christmas. Papers filed in Hudson County Superior Court say doctors tried to revive Basheer Davon Moyd Jr., but couldn’t.
“This is the start of a pretty long process that she needs to go through to try to get some justice,” the Jersey City Attorney explained.
The child’s remains were reportedly supposed to be picked up the day after New Year’s, but when undertakers arrived from the funeral parlor, no one could find Basheer’s remains in the morgue. Hospital officials have since acknowledged that the baby’s remains were probably thrown out with the regular trash.
This is just foolish– Why would you throw human remains in the trash? You don’t even throw medical waste in the trash, so why a baby?? I hope she wins, because there is no excuse for something so stupid.
