I know Kelvin Prater’s mother. Kelvin was murdered a couple of night ago in Macon, Georgia:
Police found and arrested a Macon man, charged with shooting and killing two people.
42 year-old Kenneth Stokes was captured at a Dothan Alabama traffic stop at 5:00pm Sunday evening. Stokes is charged with two counts of murder after a man and a woman were found shot to death Sunday at a home in South Macon. Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones identified the two victims as Kelvin Prater, 34 years old, and Melody Marie Benoit, 27 years old.
Police were called to the scene, at 2463 Vivian Drive, just south of Rocky Creek Road, around 9:30 a.m. Jones says the victims died of gunshot wounds. Jones says three children were in the home and one of them contacted police. The children were not harmed.
Police confirmed that Stokes was the father of Benoit’s children.
My deepest and Most sincere condolences goes to the Prater Family. He was a very nice young man, and his mother worked with my mom for over thirty years.
The killing must stop people– think before you act.
