Continuing to push her 15 minutes of fame without any new music, Rihanna keeps up with the scheduled photo-ops with the paparazzi:
Rihanna goes out for dinner with friends at Phillipe restaurant in midtown Manhattan. Rihanna has made headlines after reportedly tattooing three people at New York City’s East Side Ink last night without a license. If those people are stupid enough to let her do it, why bother the health department with complaints? See all photos when you pop the top:
BET has regretted Lil Wayne’s performance in their recently held awards show. A performance on the show, wherein the rapper was featured with underage girls, had been criticized for its inappropriateness.
The Black Entertainment Television network has expressed remorse over the rapper’s performance with Drake in the awards show on Sunday after being lambasted by different organizations for featuring children during the songs “Best I Ever had” and “Every Girl.”
The songs have explicit sexual references and were danced by young girls on stage at the awards event. The young girls consisted of Lil Wayne’s daughters and their friends.
BET released a statement obtained by Allhiphop.com as saying, “BET Networks deeply regrets the performance by Young Money at the BET AWARDS ‘09 (featuring Lil Wayne, Drake, Gudda Gudda and Mack Maine).”
“Elements of the performance were unplanned and should not have happened.
Drake, meanwhile, has apologized for his participation in the performance, admitting it was a “terrible idea that I’ll never do to myself again.”
They also need to apologize for the show, it was a waste of time and money. Better luck– well, nevermind.
Those words come from Transformer Director Michael Bay as he is asked about his star by the Wall Street Journal:
It’s interesting that you want to focus on acting. Megan Fox, one of the leads in “Transformers” has criticized your films for being special-effects-driven and not offering so many acting opportunities. Do you agree?Well, that’s Megan Fox for you. She says some very ridiculous things because she’s 23 years old and she still has a lot of growing to do. You roll your eyes when you see statements like that and think, “Okay Megan, you can do whatever you want. I got it.” But I 100% disagree with her. Nick Cage wasn’t a big actor when I cast him, nor was Ben Affleck before I put him in “Armageddon.” Shia LaBeouf wasn’t a big movie star before he did “Transformers”—and then he exploded. Not to mention Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, from “Bad Boys.” Nobody in the world knew about Megan Fox until I found her and put her in “Transformers.” I like to think that I’ve had some luck in building actors’ careers with my films.
This most definitely is Ms. Fox appeal as well, so you can expect this behavior to continue. As far as she branching off and doing more “acting” roles, I can almost guarantee that we won’t be seeing that any time soon.
By the way, did anyone see Transformers– Yea or Nay?
Look how happy and care-free a very young Michael looks as he graces the cover of The Village Voice. The article is pretty satisfying as well. This is how I want to remember the King of Pop. May he rest in peace.
